Director-Level Leader (Indirect Supply Chain/Procurement Focus) – San Antonio, TX
We’re seeking a seasoned Director-level leader to join a growing organization in San Antonio (on-site; no remote). This is a direct hire opportunity with strong long-term growth potential.
This role will oversee a broad range of business functions including vendor management, contract negotiations, and inventory oversight across multiple departments (excluding operations). A major focus will be leading complex agreements—especially within IT—during a period of significant transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise-wide vendor strategy, including sourcing, selection, and performance management
- Own complex contract negotiations across multiple departments (heavy IT focus)
- Oversee indirect procurement, purchasing, and inventory management processes
- Drive cost optimization initiatives through data analysis and strategic sourcing
- Manage end-to-end RFx processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ) and supplier onboarding
- Establish KPIs, reporting, and governance frameworks for procurement activities
- Partner with Finance, IT, and leadership on enterprise initiatives
- Lead process improvements, system implementations, and transformation efforts
- Ensure compliance with contracts, policies, and risk management standards
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a strong leadership culture
