Crew Leader

Position Summary

The Crew Leader is a working leader responsible for leading installation crews while actively participating in the installation work alongside the team. This position ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with company quality standards. The Crew Leader oversees daily job site operations, manages company vehicles, tools, and materials, and serves as the primary point of contact between the installation team, Project Manager, and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate installation crew members.
• Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently and accurately.
• Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
• Plan, organize, and oversee installation projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate site preparation, material staging, installation activities, and final inspections.
• Ensure projects are completed on time while meeting customer expectations and company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company vehicle.
• Monitor vehicle condition and report maintenance or mechanical issues.
• Maintain company tools and equipment, ensuring they are secure, organized, and in good working condition.
• Monitor inventory levels of installation materials and ensure crews have the supplies needed for each project.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with company quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure crew members properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices.
• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentorship to crew members.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Project Manager, customers, and installation crew.
• Communicate project progress, scheduling changes, material needs, and job site concerns.
• Identify and resolve job site issues while escalating significant concerns to management when appropriate.
• Accurately record employee time in ADP.
• Track material usage and complete all required project documentation in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading installation or construction crews preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of installation tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating company vehicles and transporting tools, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to lift and move materials and work in varying weather conditions as required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift materials.
• Ability to lift and carry materials as required for installation projects.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

Work Environment

This position regularly works on commercial construction and installation job sites and requires travel to customer locations. The Crew Leader is expected to maintain a safe, professional, and productive work environment while representing TRI Solutions to customers.
