Hourly rate placement within the above range will be determined based on qualifications and relevant experience.The Vocational Paraprofessional supports instructors and students within a career and technical education (CTE) shop or program. This position focuses on reinforcing instructional goals, supporting students in hands-on learning environments, and maintaining a safe and efficient shop or lab. Individuals with prior experience in the building trades or related technical fields are strongly preferred, as this role often involves assisting in HVAC, Facilities Management, or other trade areas.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Support daily instruction in vocational/technical program settings under the direction of the licensed vocational teacher.* Assist in supervising and guiding students during hands-on/shop activities, ensuring industry-standard safety protocols are followed.* Provide practical demonstrations and technical support, drawing on real-world experience in the trades or related fields.* Support the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 Plans, and English Learner Education (ELE) accommodations in collaboration with special educators.* Reinforce both vocational and academic skills through one-on-one or small group instruction.* Monitor and manage student behavior using positive behavior support strategies.* Assist in the maintenance, organization, and inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies within the vocational area.* Accompany and supervise students on cooperative education (co-op), job shadowing, or community-based learning experiences, when required.* Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant working environment.* Participate in relevant professional development and staff meetings.* Perform clerical, documentation, and other support duties as assigned by the vocational instructor or administrator.* Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student information and comply with FERPA regulations.
