Community Health Outreach Coordinator
Full -Time (30-40 Hours per Week) | Full Benefits
Tri-County SPC Region: Cranston, Johnston, North Providence, Scituate & Smithfield
Flexible schedule, must be based in Rhode Island

Join Tri-County’s SPC Regional Prevention Coalition and help prevent substance use, promote mental health, support opioid overdose prevention efforts across five municipalities, and lead a municipal prevention coalition.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as Coalition Coordinator, engaging stakeholder and guiding meetings, and goals aligned with SPC’s mission.
- Lead interactive prevention programs in schools, colleges and senior centers using proven, ready-to-use curriculum.
- Lead opioid overdose prevention outreach to businesses and colleges
- Build and strengthen community partnerships
- Coordinate events, trainings, and other relevant activities
- Develop program materials, track deliverables, and complete program reports
- Support broader prevention initiatives across the department
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree required in a related field ie. psychology, sociology, public health
- Experience with community outreach, public health, prevention, or coalition work
- Strong public speaking, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (graphic design and web tools a plus)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (event materials)
