Position
RIPTAs Commuter Resource RI program (CRRI)/Drive Less RI is a Transportation Demand Management (TDM) program that helps Rhode Islanders navigate RIPTA public transit services as well as provide guidance for using other commuting options such as carpooling, biking and walking to work. In this role, you will promote sustainable transportation options aimed at decreasing single occupancy vehicles (SOV) by providing education, outreach, and technical assistance to employers, commuters, property managers, and community partners**.** As the Communications and Outreach Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, marketing and growth of the program. This position supports trip-reduction goals through surveys, customized commute planning, marketing, partnerships, and data-driven program development.

Provide information and guidance on sustainable transportation options, including RIPTA public transit services and alternative commute modes such as carpooling, vanpooling, biking, and walking;
Promote Commuter Resource RI programs and services and identify opportunities to deliver education and outreach on commute alternatives;
Conduct employee, rider, student, and employer commute surveys and assessments to evaluate commuting needs and behaviors;
Develop customized commute plans to support organizational trip-reduction goals;
Encourage employer, student and commuter participation in the Drive Less RI mobile app and related programs;
Coordinate and participate in tabling and other promotional events such as Bike to Work Month;
Monitor and respond to inquiries through the Bus Buddy and Commuter Resource RI/Drive Less RI email inboxes and phone lines; route inquiries as needed;
Provide one-on-one personal traveling training assistance through the Bus Buddy program;
Act as a subject-matter expert on transportation demand management (TDM), eco-friendly transportation modes, and RIPTA programs including Bus Buddy, Wave to Work, and Guaranteed Ride Home;
Track outreach efforts; document activities; and prepare reports;
Provide training to employers and partners on software applications and program tools, as needed;
