What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Head Start Preschool Teacher-Westerly area position at Tri-County Community Action Agency?
FULL-TIME (40 HOURS PER WEEK) PART YEAR
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Oversee the daily operations of a classroom and to provide the children with and educational program that is conducive to optimal development. Ensure a safe, healthy learning environment for children ages 3-5.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Be knowledgeable about developmentally appropriate practices and the Head Start Performance Standards, planning according to the individual needs of each child, completing education paperwork, conducting developmental assessments, documenting assessment data in the web-based data management system, conducting observations of children daily, encouraging family engagement in the program, conducting home visits per the Performance Standards, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, providing Responsive Caregiving to all children and promoting the school readiness of children and families in the program.
