Role Overview:
A global investment bank is looking to hire a VP-level hire into its Equity Derivatives Operations team in New York. This role sits close to the trading desk and focuses on managing complex post-trade activity, resolving high-impact issues, and improving how the business operates at scale.
You’ll work across multiple stakeholders and play a key role in strengthening processes, controls, and overall efficiency within a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and resolve complex trade and lifecycle issues across equity derivatives products
- Partner closely with trading, sales, risk, and technology teams to ensure seamless execution and support
- Identify inefficiencies and drive improvements across workflows, controls, and processes
- Lead or contribute to projects tied to automation, transformation, and operational enhancement
- Act as an escalation point for non-standard issues, ensuring timely resolution and risk mitigation
- Support and enhance control frameworks, including monitoring key risk indicators and remediation efforts
- Analyze recurring issues and implement long-term, scalable solutions
Qualifications:
- 6 years of relevant experience
- Experience supporting equity derivatives within a trade support, middle office, or operations function
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and post-trade processes
- Comfortable working directly with front office stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to process improvement, automation, or transformation initiatives
- Ability to manage competing priorities and solve complex problems
Salary : $130,000 - $165,000
