Head of Asset Manager & Fund Coverage

Role Overview:

A global financial institution is seeking an experienced senior banker to lead coverage of Asset Managers and Fund clients within its Financial Institutions group. This individual will oversee relationship management activities, drive business development initiatives, manage portfolio risk, and support the continued growth of the platform across a broad range of institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive new business development efforts and originate relationships across asset managers, private funds, and institutional clients.
• Oversee portfolio management activities including credit quality, covenant monitoring, and risk oversight.
• Lead and mentor a team of relationship managers and analysts, providing guidance on execution and client strategy.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Credit, Legal, Compliance, Treasury, and Operations throughout transaction lifecycles.
• Review and oversee due diligence, underwriting materials, and internal credit approval processes.
• Support strategic planning initiatives and contribute to overall business growth objectives within the group.
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities to expand existing business.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements as a first line business leader.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 15 years of banking or financial services experience with direct coverage of Asset Managers and Fund clients.
• Strong knowledge of fund finance, credit risk, and relationship management within the financial institutions space.
• Proven track record of business development and client origination.
• Previous team leadership or management experience.
• Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
