POSITION SUMMARY
The Jr. Buyer / Kitting Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of purchasing, inventory management, and job kitting activities within Treske's supply chain team. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that bridges the purchasing desk and the shop floor issuing purchase orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring that job kits are assembled and staged correctly to support on-time production starts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Purchasing & Buying:
Issue and manage purchase orders for raw materials, hardware, tooling, and outside services using Epicor ERP.
Obtain quotes from approved suppliers; compare pricing, lead times, and terms to support best-value purchasing decisions.
Follow up on open POs to confirm order acknowledgments, delivery dates, and resolve discrepancies.
Assist in maintaining supplier records, pricing history, and lead time data in Epicor.
Support the identification and onboarding of new suppliers under the direction of the Purchasing Manager.
Inventory Management:
Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits; reconcile variances in Epicor and escalate discrepancies.
Maintain accurate on-hand inventory levels for raw materials, hardware, and consumables.
Process material receipts and ensure proper documentation, inspection routing, and put-away upon delivery.
Monitor minimum stock levels and reorder points; initiate replenishment purchasing as needed.
Kitting:
Pick and assemble job kits for production and assembly work orders per engineering BOMs and job travelers.
Verify kit completeness and accuracy prior to releasing to the shop floor; coordinate with planning on kit readiness and job start dates.
Identify and communicate material shortages that would prevent complete kit assembly; work with purchasing to resolve.
Maintain a clean, organized, and labeled materials staging area in compliance with quality and 5S standards.
General:
Handle all work in compliance with ITAR and export control regulations; maintain appropriate handling of technical data and controlled information.
Support the Purchasing Manager and planning team with ad hoc reporting, data entry, and process improvement projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
13 years of experience in purchasing, inventory, warehousing, or a related supply chain role manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience with ERP or inventory management systems; Epicor experience a strong plus.
Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, bills of materials (BOMs), and job travelers.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, counting, and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) in compliance with ITAR regulations.
Preferred:
Experience in aerospace, defense, medical, or other high-mix precision manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with kitting, picking, or assembly support processes.
Exposure to AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management environments.
Associate's degree or coursework in supply chain, business, or operations or equivalent experience.

Job Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Work performed in factory settings.
