We are growing quickly and hiring across both shop floor and office roles. We need an HR Manager, reporting directly to the President to build and run the core people systems that support that growth.
Role
You'll have a direct line to decision-making, and report to the President. You will have the autonomy to build the systems your way, and a front-row seat to a company scaling through a pivotal phase. This is a hands-on role.
The focus is on structuring hiring, developing people, and keeping HR operations solid in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Career Ladders and performance reviews
- Improve our current Global Job Architecture and embed it into people management processes and routines
- Set expectations for progression and performance reviews
- Launch and manage annual review campaigns and completion
- Align career paths with compensation and skills
- Build and maintain a practical skills matrix
- Identify skill gaps and prioritize development
- Link skills to hiring, training, and performance reviews
- Modernize training programs adapted to manufacturing roles
- Introduce more efficient formats (short modules, video, on-the-job learning)
- Ensure training completion and real impact on performance
- Develop relationships with schools and training partners
- Set up and run an efficient hiring process for ~40 hires per year
- Improve sourcing for both office and shop floor workers
- Work closely with managers to define needs and raise hiring standards
- Balance speed and quality in recruitment
- Improve how Treske is perceived by candidates, especially with our online presence (Careers page, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Structure employee advocacy in a simple, authentic way
- Improve candidate experience and employee onboarding / offboarding
- Oversee benefits, contracts, and HR administration
- Keep HR processes simple, reliable, and adapted to operations
- Coach frontline managers on people issues
- Monitor and report key KPIs to the President.
- 5–10 years of experience in HR
- Experience in industrial or operational environments strongly preferred
- Track record of standing up HR processes from scratch or in fast-changing environments
- Digital savvy, at ease with SaaS tools (HRIS, LMS, Job boards, etc.) and new AI tools.
- Interest for manufacturing contexts
- Ability to execute, not just design
- Structured thinking, and pragmatic approach
- Good understanding of operational constraints
- Comfortable interacting with shop floor workers, knowledge workers and leadership
- Work performed in a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to noise, dust, and outdoor elements
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Results-driven leader with strong accountability and ownership mindset
