Material Handler (Night Shift)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forklift operation and be responsible for moving, scanning, and organizing raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate inventory flow and timely support to production and shipping operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials within the facility.

• Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and production areas.

• Scan products and materials using handheld or mounted barcode/RFID scanners to track inventory movement.

• Organize materials in designated warehouse locations based on product type, color, GSM, and date codes.

• Help maintain accurate inventory records by following proper handling and storage procedures.

• Perform routine equipment inspections and report any issues or safety concerns.

• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits as required.

• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.

• Responsible for helping with trash cleanup and warehouse organization.

Qualifications:

• Required: 1 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

• Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification).

• Familiarity with warehouse scanning systems (RFID or barcode scanners).

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work as a team.

• Ability to speak with the opposite shift upon arrival to discuss shift plan and organization. 

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience organizing and storing plastic rolls, raw materials, or manufacturing components.

• Knowledge of warehouse layout and product rotation (FIFO/LIFO).

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
