Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections of plant equipment and facility systems to identify maintenance needs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems to ensure reliable operation.
Repairs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems promptly and effectively.
- Respond to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Equipment Installation:
- Assist with installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
- Ensure installations are completed safely and according to operational requirements.
Troubleshooting:
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with production equipment and facility systems
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex mechanical or electrical problems.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities such as repairs, inspections, and equipment installations.
- Provide regular updates on maintenance tasks and project progress.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Report any safety concerns or violations to the appropriate personnel immediately.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other staff members regarding equipment status and maintenance needs.
- Provide clear and concise information on repairs performed and issues identified.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant trade school education is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication purposes.
