The Trenton Ironhawks are members of the ECHL and play home games at CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey. The Ironhawks are entering their inaugural season in 2026-27 as the ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders and the AHL’s Hamilton Hammers.
The Ironhawks are bringing professional hockey back to Trenton and are committed to creating an exciting, high-energy game day experience for fans throughout New Jersey and the surrounding region.
We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to act as Off-Ice Officials for Ironhawks home games at CURE Insurance Arena.
Off-ice officials are an essential part of game operations. Their work directly supports the accuracy of the official game record, game clock, statistics, penalties, scoring information, and overall operation. They support the accurate administration and documentation of home games in accordance with applicable league rules and requirements. Working from the scorers’ box, penalty box, or other designated game operations areas, this position performs assigned officiating functions that may include official scoring, game clock operation, penalty box administration, goal judging and statistical tracking. This role requires accuracy, objectivity, and consistent attention throughout live game play.
Candidates may be trained for one or multiple positions depending on experience, availability, and organizational needs.

Responsibilities
- Represent the Ironhawks and CURE Insurance Arena in a professional manner at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Game Operations: Perform specific off-ice official duties including Official Scorer, Scoreboard Operator, Game Clock Operator, Penalty Box Attendant, Goal Judge, and Shot/Stat Tracker.
- League Compliance: Accurately record goals, assists, penalties, shots on goal, plus/minus, and time-on-ice in full compliance with league regulations.
- Communication: Coordinate seamlessly with on-ice referee crews, linesmen, league stat operators, and visiting team staff during games.
- Post-Game Verification: Verify official game stats post-game with referees and submit official scoresheets to league representatives.
- Deep understanding of professional hockey rules, terminology, timing, and statistics.
- High level of focus, composure, and strict objectivity during high-intensity live game situations.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed procedures.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a game operations team.
- Previous experience in hockey officiating, scorekeeping, or high-level athletics administration is preferred.
- Professionalism, reliability, and punctuality.
- The ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
