Technician to support the production of high‑voltage bushings, critical
components used across the power grid.

What We Are Looking For!-
Prepare, set up, and adjust manual, semi‑automatic, and PLC‑controlled winding machines according to SAP production orders, work instructions, and engineering specifications
- Set and optimize machine parameters including speed, tension, width, start position, and cutting length
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, BOMs, and special production instructions
- Perform precision winding operations using paper, crepe, film, insulation tapes, and specialty materials used in bushing insulation systems
- Load, align, and secure materials on mandrels, shafts, bolts, or tubes with accuracy
- Conduct in‑process and final inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and compliance with specifications
Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools to verify measurements - Complete production reporting in SAP, including order confirmations, quantities, rework, and labeling
- Cut, secure, tape, and label finished windings according to SOPs and safety requirements
- Troubleshoot material feed, tension variation, wrinkling, telescoping, and machine performance issues
- Perform routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs to minimize downtime
- Report process deviations and support root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement
- Follow all safety procedures, including OSHA regulations and lockout/tagout requirements

What You Will Bring!-
High School Diploma or GED
- Technical training, trade school certification, or apprenticeship in industrial mechanics, manufacturing technology, or machine operation
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating industrial winding equipment or similar converting machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to independently set up and optimize equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, routings, BOMs, and work instructions
- High attention to detail, quality awareness, and cost consciousness
- Confident and accurate use of SAP for production tracking and documentation
- Dependable, safety‑focused, and effective in a team‑oriented manufacturing environment
