We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Estimating Manager specializing in linear drainage applications to join our growing team. This pivotal role combines strategic sales leadership with expert estimating capabilities to drive business growth, secure new projects, and foster long-term client relationships within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction processes and wholesale distribution, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with industry-standard estimating tools. Your energy and expertise will help us deliver innovative trench drain solutions that meet project specifications, budget requirements, and quality standards.
Duties
- Lead the sales process by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and presenting drainage solutions that align with project needs
- Manage the estimating team to increase closure rates and help develop accurate and competitive estimates
- Negotiate contracts and pricing terms effectively to maximize profitability while maintaining strong customer relationships
- Manage the flow of leads generated by our on-line lead subscription
- Establish a regional and national sales strategy and work with Marketing and Engineering to implement
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on trench drain or similar drainage systems
- Demonstrated success in sales within the construction industry, particularly in selling specialized products or solutions
- Proficiency with MicroSoft Excel, Bluebeam Revu for document review and collaboration; HeavyBid or equivalent estimating software expertise is essential
- In-depth knowledge of contracts, project management principles, cost control techniques, and pricing strategies
- Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into field operations and project workflows
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
