The Trempealeau County Health Care Center has 2 openings for Maintenance Workers. Hours are primarily on the day shift; however, they may vary based on facility needs. Full-Time benefited positions. State health insurance and state retirement.
$23.13 $26.13 per hour
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment and assist with repairs
- Learn basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems
- Keep equipment and work areas safe, clean, and organized
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Respond to and handle requests in a courteous, efficient, and safe manner.
- Respond to all emergency situations, including fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters, and power failures; notify the appropriate authorities.
- Ensure equipment, mechanical, and work areas are clean and well-maintained
- Document all parts used and parts needed to be purchased.
- Must have general working knowledge in the following areas: General plumbing, refrigeration, air conditioning, electrical systems, bathroom fixtures and tiling, painting - prep to finish, wall covering, basic carpentry, and grounds keeping.
- Requires accurate record-keeping and maintaining detailed records/logs.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on maintenance equipment, including power tools, lawn equipment, snow equipment, and others as required.
- Maintain hardscape features such as walkways, patios, and retaining walls to ensure durability and safety.
- Repair damages to all property inside and out as required.
- Follow safety procedures diligently during indoor/outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Operate building maintenance equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety standards.
Preferred:
- A license or certificate in the maintenance field
- Previous experience in maintenance
Required:
- Wisconsin Driver’s License
