The Category Purchaser will lead, develop, and execute sourcing strategy for the respective product category. The incumbent will work directly with our internal sales team as well as our internal and external suppliers. This role is critical to the long term success of the organization, helping to secure future business by ensuring we can meet upcoming customer needs.

The Category Purchaser will lead, develop, and execute sourcing strategy for the respective product category. The incumbent will work directly with our internal sales team as well as our internal and external suppliers. This role is critical to the long term success of the organization, helping to secure future business by ensuring we can meet upcoming customer needs.
Tasks And Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a category, suppliers & sourcing strategy
- Single point of contact to the suppliers for commercial, strategic and critical escalations issues
- Manage key RFQ with strategic suppliers according to RFQ split-rules
- Manage quotation process for new project
- Analyze supplier costs, steer supplier selection & sourcing decisions
- Define, adapt and sign-off contract scopes (T&C, Specific agreements)
- Rationalize supplier base according global strategy
- Identify, select and develop suppliers according to business needs
- Monitor supplier performance indicators for rating and sourcing purposes
- Steer business allocation and savings by using synergy and global leverage
- Manage supplier costs reduction and bonus plans
- Monitor suppliers panel in term of risks: dependency exposure, financial status
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field or equivalent work experience
- 2-4 Years of experience in a purchasing role, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment
