Role Description Treeline is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Controller with day-to-day accounting operations across both corporate and investment entities. This role is ideal for someone with early-career accounting experience who is eager to learn, take on responsibility, and grow within a dynamic real estate investment platform.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support daily accounting functions, including processing invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements.
· Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor management.
· Prepare and post journal entries under the supervision of the Controller.
· Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
· Help support month-end and quarter-end close processes.
· Compile and maintain supporting schedules and documentation.
· Assist with property- and fund-level reporting, including financial statements and cash flow tracking.
· Help track capital calls, distributions, and other investor-related transactions.
· Support annual audit and tax preparation, coordinating with external accounting and audit firms.
· Provide general accounting and administrative support to the finance team as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate investment, private equity, or related industries.
· Strong technical accounting background.
· Strong understanding of real estate investment structures, financial modeling, and property-level accounting.
· Proficiency in Excel and Yardi required.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a strong attention to detail.
