Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated, high-energy Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help fuel Treeline’s revenue growth by building and qualifying pipeline. In this role, you will be on the front lines of our go-to-market motion—identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers before handing them off to Account Executives.
You will play a critical role in introducing Treeline to SMB and mid-market organizations, helping them understand how modern, software-enabled IT services can transform their businesses. This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing startup early, work closely with sales and marketing leadership, and help build the foundation of a scalable outbound and inbound engine.
Success in this role requires curiosity, grit, strong communication skills, and a willingness to test, learn, and iterate in a fast-moving startup environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Pipeline Generation: Own top-of-funnel pipeline creation by identifying and engaging prospective customers through outbound channels including cold email, cold calling, LinkedIn, and targeted campaigns.
- Inbound Qualification: Respond to and qualify inbound leads from marketing, ensuring timely follow-up and thoughtful discovery to assess fit and readiness.
- Prospect Research: Research accounts and contacts to personalize outreach and tailor messaging to specific industries, roles, and pain points.
- Discovery & Qualification: Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, challenges, and buying intent, and determine qualification against ICP criteria.
- Meeting Setting: Schedule high-quality discovery meetings for Account Executives and ensure smooth handoffs with clear context and notes.
- CRM Hygiene: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM, tracking outreach activity, lead status, and qualification details.
- Messaging & Playbooks: Contribute to the development and refinement of outreach messaging, talk tracks, and sales playbooks based on what resonates in the market.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Account Executives and Marketing to align on target accounts, campaigns, and feedback loops.
- Market Feedback: Share insights from conversations with prospects—common objections, competitor mentions, and emerging themes—with the broader GTM team.
What you bring:
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in sales development, business development, or a customer-facing role in SaaS or B2B technology (or equivalent hustle and aptitude).
- Metric-Driven: Strong analytical mindset and comfort with data, KPIs, and funnel optimization
- Hunter Mentality: You are relentless in pursuit of new business and comfortable with outbound prospecting.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; you can simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical buyers.
