Position Summary
Trebro Manufacturing is seeking a highly driven Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and ensure production schedules, throughput targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved. This role is responsible for supervising production personnel, coordinating resources, removing operational obstacles, and creating a positive, high-performance work environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced assembly setting, understands the importance of meeting customer commitments, and can motivate teams to achieve exceptional results while maintaining a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership
- Direct and supervise daily production activities to ensure schedules and customer delivery commitments are met.
- Monitor workflow, staffing levels, equipment utilization, and material availability to maximize throughput and efficiency.
- Lead shift startup meetings and communicate daily production goals, priorities, and performance expectations.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to maintain schedule attainment and operational flow.
- Coordinate closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Ensure labor resources are appropriately assigned to meet changing production demands.
Team Leadership & Employee Engagement
- Build, develop, and motivate a high-performing production team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and respect.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to employees.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations and development planning.
- Recognize and reward strong performance while addressing performance issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain high employee engagement and morale through effective communication and leadership.
Performance Management
- Drive achievement of production schedules, throughput targets, labor efficiency goals, and quality objectives.
- Monitor and report key manufacturing metrics including:
- Schedule attainment
- Throughput
- Labor productivity
- Scrap and rework rates
- Downtime
- On-time shipment performance
- Safety performance
- Implement corrective actions when performance falls below expectations.
- Utilize data and root cause analysis to improve operational performance.
Safety & Quality
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a safety-first culture throughout the manufacturing operation.
- Conduct regular safety observations and participate in incident investigations.
- Ensure products meet all quality standards and customer specifications.
- Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to address defects and implement corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead and support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and streamline processes.
- Drive workplace organization and visual management initiatives.
Qualifications/Education
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.
Experience
- 5 years of manufacturing/assembly experience.
- 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a production environment.
- Experience managing production schedules, labor planning, and operational performance metrics.
- Experience in equipment manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or assembly operations preferred.
