Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities and workflow.
- Assign work tasks and monitor employee productivity and performance.
- Ensure packages are received, stored, issued, and tracked accurately.
- Maintain organized warehouse storage locations and inventory controls.
- Monitor warehouse cleanliness and organization standards.
- Ensure timely completion of warehouse projects and operational goals.
Staff Supervision
- Lead, coach, train, and develop warehouse personnel.
- Conduct employee training and provide ongoing performance feedback.
- Monitor attendance, work quality, and productivity.
- Promote a positive team environment and adherence to company policies.
- Ensure staff comply with all safety procedures and operational requirements.
Equipment and Fleet Oversight
- Perform routine inspections of warehouse equipment and company vehicles.
- Identify maintenance needs and coordinate repairs.
- Perform minor troubleshooting and basic repairs when appropriate.
- Maintain equipment maintenance records and inspection documentation.
- Ensure safe operation of facility equipment.
Safety and Compliance
- Enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Conduct safety inspections and address hazards promptly.
- Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Promote a culture of workplace safety and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate operational records.
- Utilize computer systems for tracking inventory, work orders, and reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and project planning activities.
- Support operational improvement initiatives and special projects.
- Communicate effectively with management, employees, vendors, and customers.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Additional technical, vocational, or warehouse management training preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of warehouse, logistics, or operations experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Basic project management experience.
- Basic math, reading, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with computers, email, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management practices.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Fluent in English (required).
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 Certification (not required but recommended)
- Knowledge of small equipment repairs.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Experience working in government or contract environments.
