Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical–Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN) for a night-shift contract assignment. The RN will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and high-quality patient- and family-centered care in accordance with organizational standards and state nursing regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and timely documentation
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold organizational mission, vision, and values
• Utilize electronic medical records accurately and efficiently
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Active state RN license (must be current)
• Ability to work independently and manage patient care autonomously
• Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-acuity or emergency situations
  
  

Experience Requirements

• Minimum experience: Less than 1 year (newer nurses encouraged to apply)
  
  

Certifications

• BLS/BCLS required
• ACLS required
• Additional certifications may be required or preferred per facility policy, including:
• PALS
• NRP
• NIHSS
• CPI
• ENPC
• TNCC
• STABLE
  

Equipment & Systems

• Cerner electronic medical record (EMR)
  
  

Additional Information

• Bilingual skills not required
