Applications Engineer Manager
On-Site in Verona, VA - (open to relocation)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- At least eight (8) years’ experience in the rotating equipment industry. Not sure if 8 years is a hard requirement, but they'll likely need at least 3 or 4 to be considered.
- Previous managerial experience required.
- Strong working knowledge in Project Management Body of Knowledge
- Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma CI Best Practices Green Belt Preferred
- Ability to prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
- Lead and manage employees in Applications Engineering, Backoffice Engineering and project management departments.
- Maintain team KPI’s and Metrics that align with and are applicable to company goals
- Prior experience working with Sales, Customers and Vendors to obtain project specific information and develop project equipment applications
Purpose and Scope of Job:
Responsible for providing technical support for the development and implementation of customer applications dealing with complex operating systems. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. In this role you will be responsible for the Application Engineering, Backoffice Engineering, Project Management and Technical Documentation teams supporting large industrial gearbox business.
