Position Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees daily maintenance operations within the manufacturing plant to ensure all equipment, machinery, and facility systems are functioning safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role leads a team of maintenance technicians, prioritizes work orders, drives preventive maintenance programs, and supports continuous improvement efforts that minimize downtime and optimize production performance.
Shift:
Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm but hours could vary
Essential Job Duties:
Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians, providing training and guidance as needed.
- Schedule and assign daily work orders, ensuring adequate coverage across all shifts.
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee growth, accountability, and engagement.
Maintenance Operations
- Perform repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, HVAC, robotics/automation (if applicable), and facility infrastructure.
- Execute and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) programs to reduce equipment failures and downtime.
- Prioritize and complete urgent work orders while balancing long-term maintenance needs.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure the availability of critical components.
- May be required to complete other tasks assigned by management.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce plant safety policies and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and company policies.
- Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions when needed.
Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with production leadership to identify equipment issues affecting productivity.
- Recommend and implement improvements to machinery, workflow, and maintenance processes.
- Support installation and startup of new equipment.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Excellent communication, time management, and decision making- skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand / walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in hot, cold, or noisy industrial environments.
- Occasional work at heights or in confined spaces.
