Pizza Restaurant Cashier - Counter Associate

Job Summary

As a Pizza Restaurant Cashier - Counter Associate, you’ll welcome guests, manage orders, and keep service moving in a lively restaurant environment. You’ll use point-of-sale (POS) systems to process orders and payments, answer questions, and coordinate with the kitchen. You’ll also support food preparation and maintain a clean, sanitary workspace as well as running food to tables and preparing to go orders. Pay will also included a % of shared tips.

Duties

• Greet guests, take and manage food service orders, answer menu questions, and provide excellent customer service.
• Operate the cash register and POS systems to process cash transactions, card payments, and retail sales transactions; use basic math and retail math to verify totals and change.
• Recommend menu items and use appropriate upselling and sales techniques to support guest choices.
• Taking food to guest tables and preparing and handing out to go orders.
• Maintain a clean workspace through routine cleaning and sanitation; follow food safety management procedures.

Qualifications

• Customer service, cashiering, cash handling, cash register operations, and food service customer order management skills are essential.
• Food service, restaurant, quick service or fast food, café, grocery store, retail, kitchen, or food industry experience is helpful.
• Familiarity with POS systems is preferred but not necessary.
• Basic math, time management, and the ability to stay organized and courteous during busy periods are important.
• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures and work effectively with guests and kitchen teammates.

Pay: $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
