ABOUT OUR ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced-driven Assistant Front Office Manager to join our team at Trailborn Surf & Sound. The AFOM will assist the FOM with daily oversight of our Front Desk operations as well as our Valet/Bell staff operations, as well as support of the Marketplace revenue center. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, assisting the Front Office Manager with managing and training the Guest Services staff, and ensuring compliance with all Marriott Bonvoy standards, loyalty recognition, and guest engagement initiatives. As the Assistant Front Office Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Resort.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
- Assist the Front Office Manager with overseeing the daily operations of the Front Desk and Valet/Bell staff ensuring exceptional customer service is provided to all guests. Support operation of the Marketplace.
- Assist with the management and training of the Front Desk and Valet/Bell staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about Resort services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including guest check-ins, check-outs, and payments.
- Weekly reporting on Guest Satisfaction results, action planning and resolution of guest complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other Resort departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a front office supervisory or management role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel management software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Luxury, lifestyle, or resort experience preferred.
- Experience working with Marriott Brand/Marriott Bonvoy standards and guest recognition programs preferred.
- Experience with Opera PMS systems.
PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to remain upright and able to continuously move on a firm surface for an 8–10-hour shift.
- Must be able to move at least 20 pounds up to 5 feet high without another person's aid.

Hospitality demands a flexible schedule that may require extended hours as the business requires coverage including seasonality– on any day at any hour, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
