Position Summary:
As a Renewal Specialist, you will play a key role in managing and executing contract renewals while focusing on customer trust and retention. Your efforts will directly impact churn reduction and long-term customer satisfaction. You'll collaborate with a small, focused team to handle renewals efficiently, follow up with past contacts, and support performance initiatives during slower business cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
Renewal Management:
Own the end-to-end renewal process for existing customers, including handling accounts marked as "No Longer With Company" (NLWC).
Monitor and manage upcoming renewals, ensuring timely outreach and follow-up.
Proactively identify renewal risks and work to resolve issues before contract expiration.
Customer Re-Engagement:
Reconnect with dormant or inactive customers to reignite interest and rebuild trust.
Collaborate with Customer Success or Sales to strategize outreach for at-risk accounts.
Sales Strategy:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. Adhere to department dial quotas.
Lead Handling:
Manage a portion of new leads as capacity allows, balancing between new opportunities and renewal responsibilities.
Negotiation and Closing:
Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to achieve sales goals.
Customer Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Must be friendly and persuasive.
Assist with survey and complaint follow-up tasks to mitigate churn and resolve customer pain points.
Training:
Attend renewal training to share best practices and provide insights to account managers responsible for conducting their own renewal calls. Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact, offering guidance, feedback, and support to account managers before and during the renewal process to help ensure successful outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years with proven success as an Account Manager
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
Proven ability to accurately enter data in Salesforce
Empathetic, proactive, and customer-focused approach
