The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment used in the manufacturing and finishing of printed products. This position supports various production processes and equipment throughout the facility and helps ensure products are crafted efficiently, accurately, and according to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
· Operate production and finishing equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
· Set up machines for production runs by loading materials, adjusting settings, and verifying job specifications.
· Monitor equipment during operation to ensure quality, efficiency, and proper performance.
· Perform routine machine adjustments and changeovers to ensure efficient production.
· Inspect products throughout the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
· Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate larger mechanical concerns to maintenance or supervision.
· Perform routine preventative maintenance and daily equipment cleaning.
· Maintain accurate production records, downtime logs, and quality documentation.
· Maintain work areas, equipment, and production lines in a clean and organized manner.
· Minimize waste and maximize machine efficiency through proper setup and operation.
· Assist with training new operators and support other production areas as needed.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and equipment performance.
· Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and good manufacturing practices.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED preferred.
· No prior manufacturing experience required; training provided.
· Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and job specifications.
· Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Basic math and counting skills.
· Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
· Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
· Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
· Ability to safely work around moving machinery and production equipment.
· Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Preferred Skills
· Experience working in a manufacturing, production, printing, packaging, or industrial environment.
· Familiarity with production equipment and basic machine setup procedures.
· Ability to perform basic measurements and quality inspections.
