Key Responsibilities
· Perform a variety of bindery and finishing operations including collating, folding, cutting, padding, drilling, laminating, shrink wrapping, packaging, and assembling printed products.
· Complete manual handwork projects such as hand fan assembly, envelope stuffing, kit assembly, labeling, sorting, counting, bundling, and other specialty finishing projects.
· Operate bindery and finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
· Identify and report quality issues, damaged materials, or production concerns.
· Follow job tickets, work instructions, and production schedules to complete assignments accurately and on time.
· Prepare finished products for shipping or mailing according to customer specifications.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked work area.
· Assist with material handling and movement of products throughout the production facility.
· Maintain accurate production counts and complete assigned work within established production timelines.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production needs and issues.
· Assist other departments as needed to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED preferred.
· No prior manufacturing experience required; training provided.
· Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and job specifications.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Basic math and counting skills.
· Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive hand motions for extended periods.
· Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
· Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
· Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Preferred Skills
· Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, packaging, or assembly environments.
· Familiarity with print finishing or mailing operations is a plus but not required.
