Material Helper/Equipment Operator

Overview:

The Material Helper/Equipment Operator assists in the movement, verification, and organization of materials throughout the shop and warehouse. This role supports receiving, inventory control, and production flow by ensuring materials are accurate, properly handled, and efficiently delivered to the appropriate departments.

Responsibilities:

· Verify incoming materials against purchase orders for accuracy

· Support material flow between receiving, warehouse, and production areas

· Assist with inventory audits on a bi-weekly or monthly basis

· Help receive, inspect, and ensure quality assurance of delivered materials

· Maintain safe and organized material handling practices

· Comply with all company safety rules, policies, and procedures

· Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or injuries immediately to appropriate personnel

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Forklift experience required; rigging experience preferred

· Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) and perform frequent bending and squatting

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently

· Familiarity with industrial materials and processes preferred

Key Competencies:

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in material verification

· Ability to work effectively with management and shop personnel

· Effective communication and teamwork skills

This role is classified as Non-Exemptunder the FLSA.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
