Job Summary
Major Equipment & Remediation is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician / Operator to support offshore and land-based operations within the pipeline, well service, and industrial service industries. This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting rental equipment including triplex pumps, hoses, tanks, and related support equipment. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work both in the field and in the yard as operational needs require.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor triplex pumps and related equipment in pipeline and well service applications
- Perform basic troubleshooting, maintenance, servicing, and repacking of triplex pumps
- Assist with rig-up and rig-down of pumps, hoses, tanks, and support equipment
- Safely transport, load, unload, and stage equipment for offshore and onshore jobs
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment
- Complete job tickets, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation accurately
- Maintain compliance with all company safety policies and customer site requirements
- Support yard operations including cleaning, organizing, servicing, and preparing equipment when not offshore or in the field
- Work closely with operations and dispatch teams to ensure equipment readiness and job execution
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience in pipeline, well service, or oilfield service operations required
- Working knowledge of triplex pumps including operation, troubleshooting, and servicing/repacking required
- Offshore experience preferred
- Current offshore certifications are a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Ability to work long hours, rotational schedules, weekends, and travel as needed
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and manual labor required
- Must be capable of working safely in high-pressure industrial environments
