Position overview

The Pallet and Crate Builder is responsible for constructing wooden pallets, crates, and custom wood products using hand and power tools in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires strong measuring skills, the ability to follow basic construction drawings, and the physical stamina to handle materials throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Build wooden pallets, crates, and related products according to specifications and drawings
• Safely operate hand and power tools including saws, nail guns, and drills
• Measure, cut, and assemble lumber accurately using tape measures and plans
• Identify and select correct lumber types, sizes, and lengths for each build
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while meeting production expectations

Requirements

• Experience building pallets, crates, or similar wooden structures
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately, including fractions and decimals
• Comfortable using common hand and power tools in a construction or production setting
• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 60 lbs repeatedly
• Able to stand and work on your feet for 8 hours per shift in a fast-paced environment
