Location: Duluth, MN 55802
Work Schedule: Hybrid (On-site: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | Remote: Wednesday, Friday
Pay Rate: $47.50/hour
Position Summary:
The Project Controls Coordinator III (PCC) is responsible for the development and implementation of project controls planning, integration of cost and schedule functions, and quality control oversight of all project controls deliverables for Engineering and Construction capital projects. This role typically supports projects up to *** MM/year, with a duration of approximately two years or less and elevated complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the development of the overall Project Execution Plan.
- Develop and maintain project controls deliverables, including but not limited to:
- Cost Reports and Cost Variance Analysis
- Cash Flow Reports and Variance Analysis
- Schedule Reports and Schedule Variance Analysis
- Project Change Management Procedures
- Project Controls Plan
- Monthly Progress Reports
- Integrate Cost Control and Scheduling functions into a cohesive team.
- Define Project Controls resource requirements for the project.
- Perform quality control checks on all project control deliverables for completeness and accuracy.
- Lead coordination of deliverables for Phase Gate Review meetings in alignment with the 6-Phase Project Lifecycle.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to project controls and project systems functional groups based on practical experience with new tools, processes, or procedures.
Basic / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, another technical discipline, or equivalent PCC-specific experience.
- Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in project controls.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working effectively within a matrix organizational structure.
- Specific knowledge and experience in scheduling and cost processes for pipeline and plant facility projects.
- Familiarity with best practices for project scheduling and cost control.
- Ability to implement project scheduling and cost control processes and practices effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and team communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server.
