Job - Product Designer
Location: Jackson, MI – Hybrid (Local Candidates Only)
Duration: Until Mar 2027 (with a possibility of extension)
Work Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday onsite at One Energy Plaza (OEP), Jackson, MI; Monday & Friday remote in most weeks.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Product Designer to support a major SAP initiative by creating user-centered, accessible, and consistent digital experiences. The ideal candidate will have strong UX/UI and human-centered design experience, excellent collaboration skills, and preferably working knowledge of SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain SAP role personas that reflect user goals, responsibilities, needs, and pain points.
- Advocate for user needs during cross-functional discussions and product decisions.
- Apply UX best practices to create consistent experiences and seamless transitions between applications.
- Collaborate closely with internal development teams and external implementation vendors.
- Create journey maps, task flows, personas, use cases, and design strategies based on research insights.
- Conduct user research, task analysis, and persona-based requirements gathering.
- Perform usability testing and analysis to validate product usability and user experience.
- Partner with engineering and business teams to align user experience goals and drive adoption.
- Analyze product usage data and user feedback to continuously improve existing experiences.
- Incorporate accessibility and inclusive design principles into product decisions.
- Define and document UX patterns, behavioural patterns, interaction models, and design standards.
- Support additional product design and UX activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of human-centered design (HCD) principles and usability best practices.
- Experience with interaction design, user flows, personas, journey mapping, and usability testing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop practical, user-focused design strategies.
- High attention to detail and strong focus on product quality and user experience.
- Familiarity with WCAG, accessibility standards, and inclusive design methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Experience supporting SAP implementations or SAP-related UX initiatives.
- Experience working with internal development teams and external implementation partners.
- Experience using product usage data and user feedback to drive design improvements.
