Engineering Project Manager III

Position Overview
Enbridge is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager III to oversee small to mid-scale CORE Electrical projects from initiation through closeout. This role provides leadership in engineering, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project management activities, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality objectives. The Project Manager III will coordinate a small team of technical staff and provide critical project insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of electrical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals.
- Translate organizational objectives into actionable project plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders (environment, safety, quality, land, legal, supply chain, etc.).
- Provide technical and business guidance for project documentation and approvals.
- Ensure project scope definitions comply with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
- Manage project changes, risks, and deliver regular updates to management and stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication among engineering consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
- Oversee material and equipment specification, procurement, and requisitioning.
- Support tendering, contract award, and administration processes for engineering and construction contracts.
- Provide field support during construction and commissioning activities.
- Maintain thorough and timely project documentation and manage project closeout procedures.
- Mentor and guide junior staff to develop technical and project management skills.
Scope of Work
- Manage capital maintenance or pipeline projects ranging from small to mid-scale budgets.
- Apply project management best practices (PMI/PMBOK) and enterprise standards.
- Collaborate on varied project activities requiring high-level planning, coordination, and problem-solving.
- Represent the company in interactions with external partners, regulators, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management and engineering processes.

- Project Sponsors: Ensure alignment on project scope and anticipated spend.
- Project Teams: Facilitate communication and information flow among engineers, consultants, and contractors.
- Stakeholders: Maintain engagement with environment, safety, quality, land, legal, and supply chain teams.
- Contractors/Consultants: Provide performance feedback and foster professional relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Pipelines, Construction, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience, including at least 5 years in project management.
- Strong knowledge of Project Management Institute (PMI) practices; PMP certification is a plus.
- Technical expertise in pipeline and facility design, construction codes, and electrical standards (Canadian Electrical Code, NEC).
- Proven interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with team members, management, and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage project risks, propose solutions, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a safe driving record.
