Job Description: Electrical Engineer IV
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid) travel once every 3 months - some travel will be outside of TX
Duration: 12 Months
Department: team size of 11, currently understaffed
team works on compressor stations and gas metering stations
Key Responsibilities:
- this role will be electrical, not pipeline though
- more managing versus engineering (will work with and lead vendors in terms of letting them know how Enbridge does things and guiding them, etc.)
- EE disciplines - more hands off on details but needs to look at overall scope and providing guidance to the engineering firms
- role is 50/50 technical versus managing 3rd party vendors
- will not be doing detailed engineering, but needs to be familiar with what is involved in order to manage 3rd parties
- role split between design and oversight (will not be doing the design work, but will be doing the oversight of designs)
- work with multiple stakeholders
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:
- Electrical Engineering degree
- familiarity with gas compression, meter regulation, transmission work
- 7 years of experience
- experience managing 3rd party vendors preferred
- prior management experience/leadership experience preferred
- power, instrumentation, automation - having a combination of all 3 is preferred
- PE license preferred
- knowledgeable about transmission of gas and compression
- transmission - have compressor knowledge, ancillary equipment (pipe, etc.)
- looking for quality work ethic
