Role Overview
This role is focused on validating and ensuring the integrity of AI data center design and architecture before and during construction. The architect will act as a technical validator and risk assessor, ensuring vendors deliver accurate and optimized designs aligned with business and infrastructure requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate data center architecture designs provided by vendors
- Review and confirm Basis of Design (BoD) documentation
- Ensure accuracy of vendor inputs for upcoming data center sites
- Perform pre-construction design validation and support construction oversight
- Assess IT infrastructure alignment within data center design
- Identify risks, gaps, and design inefficiencies
- Conduct due diligence to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility
Must-Have Skills / Experience
- Strong experience in Data Center Architecture & Design Validation
- Experience reviewing vendor designs and challenging assumptions
- Understanding of AI-focused data center requirements (GPU-heavy environments)
- Knowledge of liquid cooling technologies (critical requirement)
- Ability to assess design risks and operational impacts
- Strong grasp of IT infrastructure within data centers (compute, storage, networking)
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with AI/ML infrastructure environments
- Exposure to hyperscale or high-density data centers
- Familiarity with modern cooling and power optimization techniques
