What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper/Cleaner position at TP Orthodontics, Inc.?
We are currently seeking a Housekeeper to assist with the cleaning and maintenance of designated areas in our manufacturing/administrative facilities. This position includes cleaning and upkeep of individually assigned areas within the facility as well as shared responsibilities in the production area. This Housekeeper will maintain a clean and safe environment by performing a variety of appropriate cleaning, trash removal, dusting, and re-furnishing products used daily by employees (such as, but not limited to napkins, hand soap, and restroom supplies).
KEY TASKS
- Cleans assigned areas on a daily basis
- Cleans a variety of surfaces (windows, countertops, tables, blinds, vents, and so on)
- Cleans building floors by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and scrubbing
- Cleans and maintains restrooms
- Gathers and empties trash receptacles
- Handles a variety of chemicals and materials associated with cleaning (soaps, waxes, polishes, disinfectants, window and surface cleaners)
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED
Experience:
- 2 years of office cleaning or maintenance experience
- Experience with handling solvents, chemicals, cleaning, disinfecting & deodorizing products
- Operation and continuous use of manual and electronic cleaning devices
- Good listening, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and complete assigned tasks; employee must be able to follow written and verbal instruction
- Ability to work independently without continuous supervision
Physical Requirements
- Must be on your feet daily
- Ability to lift, push and/or pull 20-25 lbs.
- Bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling on a daily basis
