Job Purpose:
- The Facilities Team Member at TOYOTETSU TEXAS, INC., plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-organized environment, supporting the production teams, and contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems to ensure optimal functioning.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of manufacturing equipment and workspaces to accommodate production needs.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies and tools, placing orders as necessary to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify any potential safety hazards or maintenance issues, addressing them promptly.
- Collaborate with the production and safety teams to implement and uphold safety protocols and procedures.
- Provide support for facility improvement projects, including renovations and upgrades, to enhance operational efficiency.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on industry best practices and safety standards.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by effectively communicating with colleagues and management.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Technical training or certification in facilities management or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education/training.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities management or a related role.
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment and infrastructure.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
