About The Position

Toyota of Hattiesburg is seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team.

As our receptionist, you will often be the first voice customers hear and the first person they see when they visit our dealership. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming, professional customer experience and helping our dealership operate efficiently.

The ideal candidate is personable, organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Previous receptionist or customer service experience is preferred, but we will also consider candidates who demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and a desire to build a long-term career with our organization.

Requirements

Candidates must:

• Maintain a professional appearance and dress appropriately for a business environment.
• Have previous experience answering phones and providing customer service.
• Possess excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Be dependable, punctual, organized, and professional.
• Be comfortable handling multiple incoming phone calls.
• Have basic computer skills.
• Be able to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
• Possess a valid Mississippi driver's license.
• Be available to work some Saturdays.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and promptly direct customers to the appropriate department or team member.
• Assist customers with locating dealership personnel and appropriate departments.
• Direct service customers to the customer lounge and appropriate personnel for vehicle status updates.
• Listen professionally to customer concerns and connect customers with the appropriate team member for assistance.
• Follow established receptionist processes and dealership procedures.
• Perform general administrative and clerical duties, including data entry, typing, proofreading, filing, scanning, photocopying, and faxing.
• Maintain and update dealership telephone directories and contact information.
• Assist with identifying and reporting telephone or communication system issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
• Assist other departments with administrative duties as needed.
• Work cooperatively with all departments to provide an excellent customer experience.
  
  

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferred.
• Automotive dealership experience is a plus but is not required.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
