Guest Service Representative

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and friendly Guest Service Representative to create a welcoming environment for our customers and ensure they have a positive experience every time they visit. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, personalized service to meet their needs
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Assist customers with product demos, answering questions about store merchandise and features
• Upsell relevant products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the store remains clean, inviting, and well-merchandised
• Handle cash register operations including cash handling, cashiering, and cash drawer management with precision
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support inventory management by stocking products and conducting periodic stock checks
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of store products to provide accurate information and recommendations
• Engage in retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and sales promotions

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions
• Supervising experience or leadership skills preferred for team support roles
• Ability to conduct product demos confidently and clearly communicate features and benefits
• Bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer needs effectively (preferred)
• Excellent phone etiquette with clear, professional communication skills
• Skilled in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
• Experience with stocking, merchandising, and inventory management in a retail or grocery environment
• Strong cashiering skills including cash register operations, cash handling, and cash drawer handling
• Customer service expertise with a friendly attitude and proactive problem-solving approach
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations involving pricing, discounts, and totals
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with grocery products (nice-to-have)
