Job Summary:
The Hotel Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the overall upkeep and repair of the hotel’s physical structure, systems, and equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff. This position involves hands-on maintenance work across various trades including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other hotel equipment.
- Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain building systems including boilers, chillers, pumps, air handlers, and fire life safety equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair guest room and public area issues including lighting, doors, windows, furniture, and appliances.
- Perform daily property walk-throughs and equipment checks to identify and resolve issues before they become problems.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and keep proper inventory of tools and supplies.
- Collaborate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
- Comply with all safety protocols and regulations.
- Record all maintenance activities in logs or software systems accurately and timely.
