Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, changing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Maintain public areas such as hallways, lobbies, and laundry rooms with consistent attention to cleanliness and safety standards.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring correct storage and disposal.
• Utilize various cleaning equipment effectively, including vacuums, floor buffers, and industrial cleaning tools, to achieve optimal results.
• Conduct routine sanitation checks on floors and surfaces, ensuring compliance with hotel housekeeping management protocols.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen carts, cleaning supplies, or furniture moving while adhering to manual handling safety guidelines.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or service needs with a friendly customer service approach that enhances their stay experience.

Requirements

• Proven custodial or housekeeping experience within a hotel or hospitality environment; familiarity with hotel housekeeping management is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including floor cleaning, sanitation practices, and industrial cleaning methods.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while maintaining compliance with safety data sheets (SDS) and safety procedures.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and manual handling involved in moving furniture or large quantities of linens.
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor when interacting with guests and team members.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all staff and visitors.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, or steam cleaners is advantageous.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in all work activities within the hospitality setting.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
