Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing all surfaces to ensure a pristine environment
• Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and laundry facilities with attention to detail and efficiency
• Operate cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor buffers, and other janitorial tools to uphold high standards of floor care and sanitation
• Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols and emergency procedures to ensure guest safety and compliance with health standards
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen or supply storage while maintaining safe manual handling practices
• Document completed tasks accurately and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly

Requirements

• Prior hotel housekeeping experience or janitorial/custodial experience preferred; familiarity with industrial cleaning is a plus
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and hotel emergency procedures
• Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while maintaining safety data sheet (SDS) compliance
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling, vacuuming, and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts
• Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or steam cleaners is advantageous
• Commitment to maintaining a safe environment by following all safety protocols related to chemical handling and industrial cleaning practices
