Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to ensure a pristine environment.
• Perform detailed floor cleaning using appropriate equipment and chemical agents to maintain high standards of hygiene.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and using personal protective equipment.
• Manage manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury.
• Maintain public areas by cleaning lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other shared spaces with attention to sanitation and appearance.
• Use cleaning equipment efficiently, including vacuums, floor buffers, mops, and other janitorial tools, ensuring proper maintenance and storage.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures when necessary, including evacuation protocols or incident reporting to ensure guest safety at all times.

Skills

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with knowledge of industrial cleaning practices.
• Strong skills in floor care techniques such as vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors.
• Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly by understanding chemical handling procedures and safety data sheets (SDS).
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and standing for extended periods during shifts.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems or custodial management practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures ensures preparedness in critical situations.

Pay: $15.19 - $15.75 per hour
