Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all food items are fresh, appealing, and well-presented
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and equipment
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to uphold hygiene standards and prevent contamination
- Restock food items, beverages, utensils, and condiments throughout the service period
- Assist guests with food selections, answer questions about menu items, and provide friendly in-person customer service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, and warming trays
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems when applicable
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred; experience in fine dining or catering is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitizing procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as lifting trays or boxes of supplies
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing inventory
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Experience with operating kitchen equipment and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Familiarity with wine knowledge or beverage service is advantageous but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle weight in a fast-paced environment
