Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote infant development, including sensory play, motor skills, and early language acquisition
- Provide attentive care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment that adheres to health and safety regulations
- Observe and document individual infant progress, behaviors, and milestones to inform teaching strategies
- Engage with children through nurturing interactions that foster emotional security and social skills
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent caregiving routines and effective communication about each child's needs
- Follow all health protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans, to ensure the well-being of every child
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare or preschool is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for infant care
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, compassion, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated understanding of behavior management techniques suitable for infants and toddlers
