Duties
- Support early language development in English and Spanish through daily interactions, songs, books, and routines
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development for infants and toddlers
- Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, nap times, and comforting children as needed
- Monitor each child's progress and communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's development and milestones via our Parent App
- Build strong partnerships with families through clear, respectful communication
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while ensuring individual attention for each child's needs
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to plan curriculum enhancements and share best practices in early childhood education
- Follow all DECAL licensing, health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures, to ensure a secure environment for children
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- A passion for working with infants and toddlers
- Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus
- CDA, TCC, or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and health screenings
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. as needed for child safety
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to handle caregiving responsibilities such as feeding, diapering, and supervising active children
- Experience with behavior management strategies suitable for young children
- A genuine passion for nurturing children’s growth through engaging activities and positive interactions

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
