Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote literacy, math, and overall development tailored to toddlers’ needs
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, respectful environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that develop fine motor skills, social skills, and early cognitive abilities
- Help with classroom organization, including setting up learning centers and cleaning up after activities
- Observe and document children’s progress, behaviors, and interests to inform future lesson planning and individualized support
- Foster effective communication with children through verbal interactions, storytelling, and active listening
- Support children with special needs or those with disabilities by implementing inclusive practices aligned with curriculum goals
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with curriculum development for toddlers, including Montessori or other child-centered approaches
- Experience working with children with autism or other disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families
- Ability to follow detailed lesson plans while adapting to the dynamic needs of toddlers
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or special education is advantageous
