What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreman A / Tree Care position at TOWN OF WELLESLEY?
The Town of Wellesley is seeking a full-time Foreman A/Tree Care for the
Park and Tree Division of the Department of Public Works. Reporting to
the Assistant Superintendent and/or the General Foreman, the Foreman
A/Tree Care is responsible for the front-line supervision and oversight
of daily operation and maintenance programs to manage the Town?s urban
forest, open spaces, and rights-of-way. The incumbent leads crews of two
to four skilled and unskilled workers in tree maintenance and ensures
all work complies with Town, state, federal and industry standards. This
position requires outdoor work in all weather conditions and
participation in snow and ice operations, stand-by, emergency, and
weekend duties as needed. Qualifications: Four (4) years of professional
arboricultural experience and two (2) years of supervisory experience or
a combination of a college degree in agriculture or forestry and work
experience. MA Class B CDL with air brake endorsement, Hoisting
Engineer?s License Class 1C and 2B, Pesticide Applicator?s License
Category #36 Tree and Ornamentals, MCA or ISA Certified Arborist
credential, CPR Certification, and Electric Hazards Awareness Program
Training. Knowledge of tree and shrub identification, pruning, and
climbing.
